contenders with #6 Absolute Salt (3/1 ML) and #3 Baba Booyah (7/2 ML), but expect to see her in the winner’s circle.

Value Bet: Pinnacle Race Course Race 8 WIN #2 Pass the Bottle (8/1 ML). Pass the Bottle won a 6 furlong claimer at Pinnacle back on the 16th and returns today with lucrative odds on the morning line. This
race features 3YO+ running 5 furlongs and Pass the Bottle could pull off a win. This 4YO Michigan-bred  gelding will face some tough competition, especially from #8 Intenselyconfused (2/1 ML), #5 El Supremo (3/1 ML) and #4 Dr. Megavolt (7/2 ML). If Pass the Bottle can get the job done once again and late odds are inflated, we can cash in at the windows!

Best Bet: Colonial Downs Race 3 WIN #2 American Emblem (8/5 ML). This race features 3YO+ running a Mile and 1/16th on the Turf. American Emblem is a 5YO Kentucky-bred gelding who should pull off a victory
today. The only credible threat I see him facing comes from #4 Waywardwillie (5/2 ML).

Next Best: Colonial Downs Race 5 WIN #3 Dancehall Fever (9/5 ML). Another solid entry on the Colonial card is Dancehall Fever. A full field of 14 horses will be scheduled to run in this 5 furlong Turf race. I would be surprised to see any other horse in the winner’s circle, Dancehall Fever is clearly the one to beat.

Value Bet: Colonial Downs Race 6 EXACTA BOX #4 Sharp Lioness (2/1 ML) with #6 Letha B (5/2 ML). Either one of these horses could take the race, which is why I think a box play might be smart. However, a lower
payout would not justify the risk so keep an eye on the late exacta pool!

The daughter of LEROIDESANIMAUX has been working steadily for her debut at Keeneland. Look for her to sit off early and pounce and with the price-12-1- it’s definitely worth it.

El Secreto plans on implementing a new tipping guide once every weekend that focuses on juvenile races around North America. This is the time of the year when two-year-olds really get going — we’re hoping to capitalize on the babies!

Best Bet: Woodbine Race 7 #1 BOLD CANADIAN turned in a fine gate drill last out, and with the lack of a standout in here, we’ll side with one of the top juvenile conditioners in the land.

Second Best Bet: Calder Race 3 #6 DARE TO DOUBLE lost all chance at the start first out but rallied well to prove that he has some run. We expect a clean break and winning effort from the second timer.

Value Play: Churchill Race 8 #5 ENTERTAINMENT is cut out to be a nice one and hails from a barn that knows how to win with debuters. The price should be right.

Bonus Play: Hastings Race 5 #2 CHEROKEE NOTION should positively love the added ground in here after a solid third in his first run for a high-percentage outfit. We expect a romp!!

We have the Meadowlands Pace on the 18th of this month, followed by the Hambletonian on Aug. 4th and the Breeder’s Crown on Aug. 22nd just to name a few. Yes, the summer harness action is smokin’ hot and you can count on Jersey Joe to be there with you every step of the way.
 
Tonight, we head to the epicenter of that future action, The Meadowlands Racetrack, for a quality 11 race Saturday night card. I’ve provided what I feel are the night’s most probable winners, along with a play in the 8th that the public may overlook.

Came out after the sick scratch last week and any concerns about conditioning were dismissed as he was absolutely dominant against an overmatched group. Rock solid connections and a peaking pacer are a tough combo. Back to Back.

Like the fact that connections showed confidence after the debut here. Has caught a couple of wet tracks. The farmer’s almanac says we’ll see a different surface tonight. Look for Yanni to keep this pacer level at a sweet price.

He is clearly the class of the field and most battle tested. His tactical speed will come into play here and he should get away from this group in the stretch to capture The Cornhusker Handicap.
 
NEXT BEST–HOLLYWOOD PARK–RACE 9 – # AWESOME GEM.
Thank God they finally put this guy back on the turf. yea, he’s 0 for 7 on the green but the company he’s kept is the key. There isn’t Goldikova, Kip Deville  One Union or any other killers to deal with today. Its the 1st time he’s out of a graded stakes since last August when he lost by a nose ON THE TURF. If he’s anywhere at 5/2 or better, I’m emptying my pocket.

A Smarty Jones 1ster on the green….CHA-CHING. Smarty Jones is the TOP new grass sire, the TOP. This guy is working smartly on the dirt at Belmont and gets Lezcano for his debut. M.L of 5/1 will be very pretty to take at the windows.

Well, boys and girls, send some mojo my way and wish me luck today in the NHC Qualify tournament, cause you know your Lady Luck loves the Vegas! I’ve been kinda hit or miss at Belmont lately, but I think these picks will be hits.

Your BEST BET is 3 WISHFUL TOMCAT in RACE 4 (5-2). Winner of a G3 last Nov with Dominguez on board has been on a 2 win streak and should complete the hat trick today. Won with authority by 6 lengths in his last here against similar. Dangerous jockey/trainer combo.

Your NEXT BEST BET is 8 SONNY’S THE ONE in RACE 3 (7-2 ML). Certainly the horse for the course – finished in the money in 6 of 9 starts at Belmont. Won handily in his last against some of these and a repeat performance should seal the deal.

Your VALUE BET is 7 CLEAN SHOT in RACE 2 (12-1 ML). Improved greatly in his second start, expect more today with the drop. Gets hot Dominguez on board and trainer is having a good meet.

I’m back in New York to see Rachel Alexandra leave four others in her wake in the Mother Goose. The price will be so short that you’d need a suitcase full of dough just to make coffee money on this one.  It will be nice to watch this filly just the same, but let’s see if we can find some better value in some of the other races that are on tap.
 
Best Bet- Race 4 #1 Z FORTUNE, M/L 3-1. A high profile runner looking to hit the brakes on a 9 race losing streak. Has been put in some very difficult spots after winning the first 3 races of his career.  The terms of this race are a far cry from the graded company he has been keeping and i have to think if he brings anything close to his ‘A’ game that he should be able to handle a race for restricted NY breds.  Borel adds to the appeal on this one and he will have his charge full of run to look Wishful Tomcat in the eye and let overall class decide this one. Next Best- Race 1 #1 FLO’S HONOR, M/L 8-1. Cozy rail draw for a horse who is 8 for 15 in the frame including 5 runner up finishes. Little win shy but utilizes a nice stalking style that has resulted in many on the board finishes.  Gets his regular pilot back today and he knows where this horse needs to be to get the most out of him.  Progessive set of beyers have this one moving in the right direction and a drop to dime claimers puts him in a nice spot. Value Bet- Race 2 #2 SILVER JAZZ, ML 15-1.  Looks to move forward in his second start after a debut race on the turf.  Like the switch to the main track for this one and gets a nice positive jockey switch to Coa.  Trainer has often shown positive results on the turf to dirt angle and as a $ 220,000 yearling purchase, this one has a license to show marked improvement second time out. Churchill Night Racing Picks for Friday June 26th.

BEST BET: Churchill Race 6. #8 FEMININE FLAIR (ML 5/2).  Has been rested since being claimed in April but has worked consistently and well. Trainer Michael Maker is good off the claim and filly has best turf pedigree in dubious field.

NEXT BEST: Churchill Race 1. #6 SERNA’S GOLD (ML 8/5). Tom Amoss wins with 30 percent second time off a claim. Filly ran poorly when raised in first start after being claimed but is spotted to win now.

VALUE BET: Churchill Race 4. #5 QUEEN OF VICTORY (ML 15/1). Has plenty of early speed and is probably good for the front early. Is by the unproven The Cliff’s Edge but has a strong pedigree on his female side being closely related to several top South American runners including Invasor.
