BRONCO TALKS TUFF LANGUAGE AT RIDEAU- BRONCOBUSTER

Starting to analyse and get excited at the upcoming derby preps that are upcoming! A sure sign spring is around the corner. This weekend
will see plenty of action at multiple tracks as the derby trail heats up!  The Fairgrounds will run its Risen Star, a prelude to the upcoming Louisiana Derby, while Gulfstream cards the Fountain of Youth which will lead into the Florida Derby.  Check back with me on Saturday to see who i like in those prelude races!

For now, a sure sign that spring isn’t quite here yet, as we motor over to Rideau for some winter harness action and watch out for these picks!

RIDEAU-

Best Bet-  Race 10 #1 Tuff Language, M/L 6-1.WIN WAGER.  Had a 5 race winning streak snapped last week after an undesired trip which saw her come first up into a quickening pace!  Looks to rebound as she drops out of 8,500 restricted claimers and into an open 6,500 claimer.  Although the price tag is reduced, these are open claimers and she’ll have to be at her best to get the job done.  The rail draw will help her out and going style. She should get the kind of trip needed to handle the move to the open ranks and back to a familiar place, the winner’s circle!

Next Best- Race 11 #4 Harzak, M/L 6-1.  WIN WAGER. Has been a bit inconsistent over his last 6 races. In his own defense he has had to handle 3 bad draws which included 2 outer posts!  He’s also had to deal with some bad trips.  However, when he has drawn inside, he’s managed a win and a second from as many starts!  This draw gives him a chance to do well and his overall record the past year is encouraging enough to believe that he can do some damage in this spot at a square price!

Value Bet- Race 7 #8 Brad’s Best, M/L 6-1. WIN PLACE SHOW. Looks to turn the table on Road Ranger after back to back losses to that foe. This outer draw should provide enough value to try a WPS.  I also like that his nemesis has drawn the second tier because he appears to be a need to lead type and that is going to be more difficult to achieve from this spot and Brad’s Best looks to be the closing type that could handle this type of draw.  One of Rideau’s best Darrel Coville is on board and that adds to the appeal.
