Speed has been a killer on the grass at Churchill and this filly appears to be the lone speed today. In the stretch it’s near impossible to make up any ground, and with the speed advantage this horse has, that will play hugely in her favor today.
VALUE BET–HOLLYWOOD PARK–RACE 9–# 4 GLOBAL HUNTER.
Lots of big hitters in the Shoemaker today. But it also appears that there is a good amount of early lick too. GLOBAL HUNTER may take advantage of this today as he will be sitting off the pace and should be able to make the first move on the speed. That tactic may payoff very well at 12-1 or better.

MONDAY PICKS FROM MOHAWK- BRONCOBUSTER
Best Bet- Race 1 #4 Sombrero Hall, M/L 4-1. I thought this horse had a real shot in his elimination last week, but here is in the consolation after missing to make it to the 130K final! Settles here instead for a fraction of that amount (20K), and draws well enough to be in the right spot. Trainer John Bax is very good with young trotters and this one should be heard from.
Next Best- Race 3 #8 Like Bob Promised, M/L 9-2. Fits this class level well and gets a very credible driver in Luc Ouelette. Will need to overcome an outer draw but, i like the fact that the 2 expected favorites even draw further out than he is.
Value Bet- Race 5- #9 Text Me, M/L 8-1. WIN PLACE SHOW. The 130,000 gold final shapes up to be a dandy of a race and i love this guys chances even from an outer post such as this. 2 months ago, Go Go Red Marty would have been 1/5 in here, but, his form has tailed off a bit and some of the others seem to have caught up to him. Robert McIntosh is a fine conditioner and i would never under estimate him in spots such as this. The outer draw and price not withstanding. Big shot at a value price in here…

Start of a big week in racing, Todays holiday cards around the country are full of value, on saturday the third leg of the Triple Crown takes place at Belmont.
Overseas the English Derby and Oaks take place also on saturday, presenting us with a clash of the horse racing Titans Godolphin and Coolmore.
Yesterdays selections with a little more racing luck would have provided us with a nice return. We aim to redeem ourselves today on this Memorial Monday.

This is a nice allowance against state breds to repeat, # 7 HEART FULL OF SOUL will be up front early on but with over 57% of the winners coming on the inside at this meet Riggs will have the selection lined up coming into the stretch.

This 6 yr old gelding is a win machine. Undefeated in 2 tries over the CD strip and was 8 for 16 winning last year and hit the board 12 of those 16 tries. Lokss to take these from gate to wire today.

Look Out, the Jonses are in town. For the past few years every time Larry Jones shipped to Monmouth for a stakes race he won. This time it’s his wife Cindy shipping in, but I see the same results. This filly ran against the best in the country for 2 years. Gets a big drop in class eventhough it’s a 100k race. Her being undefeated at Monmouth helps clear matters even more.
VALUE BET—HOLLYWOOD PARK—RACE 8–$2 EXACTA BOX # 2 COME HOME QUICK/ # 4 PINCELADA.
Could be a 1-2 speed figure around the track here. PINCELADA looks to bring her plastic form to grass and COME HOME QUICK is coming off a win over this turf course.
